The Wirral Practice Nurse Association ( WPNA ) is run by Practice Nurses for Practice Nurses.
They are an independent group working to improve nurse practice and to provide ongoing education.
The WPNA meet at four to six weekly intervals at various venues throughout the Wirral.
Subscription charges are just £15 per annum (running from January to January).

PRACTICE NURSE, Birkenhead

15 hours a week
Rate of pay:- £20,156 - £24,340 (pro rata dependent on experience)
A Practice Nurse is required to work in our friendly Doctors Surgery. The candidate must be conscientious, be able to work under pressure and have a flexible approach. There may be the opportunity for additional hours on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work autonomously with the support of the Practice Nursing Team.
The following skills are desirable but not essential as training can be provided;
Chronic disease management
Health education/screening
Travel vaccination and Childhood immunisations
Venepuncture
Dressings
Ear syringing.
Womens health and contraception
