Wirral Nurse Independent Prescribers (NIPS) Agenda
As Wirral Nurse Prescribers and practitioners, we value education that helps us provide the best possible advice and treatment for our patients. We often have questions such as, “what is causing that patients cough?”, or “this patient has multiple complications, which are the most important ones to treat first?”
Given this understanding, It has been recognised that education that focuses on clinical examination and treatment, rather than clinical data from studies would be more beneficial. Therefore to aid us all in our professional development, an agenda for 2007 has been created to support us in our roles.
The speakers will be briefed to offer the following support in their talks:
·
Brief background of disease
·
Complications of disease
·
How to manage risk (which factor should you tackle first)
·
Treatment Algorithms
·
Handouts (Slides on the Nurse Intranet)
·
Prepare advice on emailed questions, submitted to: farid.bidgoli@spcorp.com
The meetings will be held monthly at The Manor Restaurant Greasby, Greasby Rd, Wirral
